 APPLICATIONS ENGINEER, BELFAST JOB SUMMARY The applications engineer is responsible for integration of our products with customer systems and supporting customer trials. This requires the ability to problem solve, confidence in system integration and the ability to modify software to enhance the configurability of the modems appropriately. Good communication skills and partnership with customers is also essential. RESPONSIBILITIES Support integration of WFS products with customer systems, development of system configuration, control and protocol firmware. Contributing to on-going technical roadmap process. EU citizenship essential. EXPERIENCE Experience of industrial sensors and control systems. Embedded / low-level software development, ideally including data comms protocols. TECHNICAL SKILLS Essential - C; understanding of communications protocols such as I2C, SPI, IP, TCP, UDP. Beneficial - Experience of software version control and working in a software team adhering to procedures such as coding conventions, peer review etc. COMPETENCIES Effective communicator, both verbal and written.
